Turns out Martial Arts is for everyone when you have a club like PTT Penticton. Welcoming, safe, caring and with very intuitive coaching and training. Challenging myself to step on the mat the first time was the best decision I have made in my journey as a father and a leader.

My son Noar loves his classes. He usually can't wait to get there and start. All the coaches do a phenomenal job.

Starting Muay Thai at PTT has been one of the greatest things I've done for my life in recent years. Coming in as the new guy with the least experience in any room is intimidating under the best of circumstances, let alone a Muay Thai gym, but coach Landon Shelvey quickly made those feelings of discomfort and inadequacy fade away. Not only are his abilities to tailor the training to the individual, while making simple sense of complex movements next level, but he does it while making you feel like the most important person in the room. If you're reading this and you're on the fence about getting into the sport because you're doubting yourself, I urge you to just show up. Landon will show you the confidence you didn't know you had, and you might just find yourself a second home here, like I did. Who couldn't benefit from something like that? Oh yea, I almost forgot. You'll also get into the best shape of your life, which makes movement throughout daily life a breeze!

Best coaches, amazing bjj gym highly recommend

For years, exercise felt like a struggle, and the thought of trying a new sport filled me with anxiety. I can honestly say that PTT Muay Thai completely shattered that mindset. I felt an unparalleled sense of comfort and empowerment from the very first day. This is largely thanks to the incredibly welcoming and safe environment, especially coach Camille and the inclusive women's-only classes, which were such a game-changer for me. PTT quickly transformed into a second home, and I developed a real passion for Muay Thai. I am immensely grateful for the dedication of the entire PTT team and the amazing progress/personal growth I've been able to make. I wholeheartedly recommend PTT to anyone curious about giving it a shot as I can absolutely vouch for the amazing community and fun, yet powerful, workouts. You guys are the best! :)

I am beyond impressed with this place so far. Recently signed up three of our boys there, 3, 7 and 10. For the three year old I set up in little champions class, and for him being so young it's a tough start, but the coaches there are so solid and supportive, and encouraging, they allow me to get a little involved to help him become more confident. My 7 year old was the biggest shock to us all. He is very shy, and has typically lacked confidence for some reason, which is the main reason I wanted him to get involved in martial arts, because when I was younger it did great for me too. The first day, in future champions class, he was a different kid. None of us can explain it, he took zero convincing, he just saw all the kids there and he was on the mats so excited he was jumping up and down in the intermissions, had zero problem grappling with all the other kids, talking to the kids and coaches confidently, it was unbelievable, my whole family witnessed this and all agree, it was shocking. He wishes he could do it every day, and the coaches are clearly great at what they do because he just loved em right from the get go. He looks forward to it, he's enthusiastic about it. We tried him in soccer before and he was the shy kid that wouldn't get involved. The 10 year old, always had confidence, and wasn't shy to begin with, but he is equally as excited and he too wishes he could do it everyday. He came home from school talking about how he is telling all his friends about it, he is nothing but excitement and smiles out there on the mats. He's focused out there, he is locked in with his attention, and he is a high energy kid so this is a really healthy outlet for him to channel all his excess energy into. Now, the reason I also love it as a dad, me and my ex divorced, so shared custody, this gives me that opportunity three times a week to pick my boys up from school, my two get to see their step brother in the week now, they bond over it together, and for me I don't have to wait so long for the weekend anymore. This review I'm writing on only the third day. So if three classes have already accomplished all of that, I can't wait to see what the next few years will do for them.
